Alone, I found esoteric worlds; in silence, I heard the ancient Voice.  And from microscopic observation, I know that it is Truth.

inter in the city-an image that is a symbol of Millennium strength.  In the freezing weather, the fire within the individual is raging and catches hold on various social, political and religious happenings, the frigid temperatures invigorates physical action. Highly aware of our surroundings, we tread through the urban terrain more cautiously... It is as if the cold is lubrication for the velocity of continuity and our will prods us forward.

I am reminded of a well-known photomontage by Bauhaus artist, Paul Citroen, Metropolis, wherein building after building, skyscraper after skyscraper are clustered together with little indication of a human presence; which is a beautifully accurate depiction of "life in the city".  This photomontage/collage is prophetic in that the artist masterfully composes this 1923 work that is appealing to this day-over 70 years later!  The reward of human's progress: millennium realized in the liberation of man and woman and our intellect propagating the next millenium...

Our predecessors had the ability to look at the world and unbiasly record that which was before them while anticipating the future results of progress.  That seems an alien concept today-1999-in many regions of the world. Despite the accessibility of a balanced and up-to-date education, many prefer to live in ignorance and attempt to force others who are weak to go along. Yet, strangely, it is these same "Regressors" who claim to be in sync with the conveniences the millennium lifestyle offers on the one hand and choose to retreat back to intolerance, ignorance and anger when confronted with progress on the other. They are incapable of assimilation.  Our predecessors embraced not scoffed at blessed Change.

It is the "Regressors" who have tainted the urban landscape with a putrid stench that will eventually be cleansed. Urban life and Her dwellers have given much to the world and every American has benefited from this urban takeover: we are free to choose, decide and express ourselves by divine and human made law and have the right  to pursue higher education and thus-happiness.
Happiness for me is successfully living in the Metropolis, treading through the urban jungle on a winter's day or evening and knowing that I am an Urban Warrior.
