Alone, I found esoteric worlds; in silence, I heard the ancient Voice.  And from microscopic observation, I know that it is Truth.

And to embark on this solitaty journey is an act of outstanding courage in that to travel with companions is an easy task and requires no mental  travail; to travel alone is dangerous and requires complete discipline and adhearence to one's dharma.  And She knows who is strong and who is weak...
In the face of opposition or discouragemnet, many falter and abandon ship; yet, at this sensitive point in Time is when we are tested and our true character surfaces revealing whether or not we possess Inner Strength which is a component of Human Nature: self-preservation. If one undertakes a project that was not of his or her interest or dharma, then when he fails, it is understandable: stealing another's idea or attempting to morph into something incapatable with one's DNA is criminal.  This is neither self-preservation nor "survival of the fittest"; this is cowardice.
Clearing out a place for oneself in the urban jungle, gaining respect from equal and superior species, defeating enemies, establishing and protecting territory and creating significant and needed changes = self-preservation. Empty talk is meaningless; logical action speaks.
And the Solitaire champions logical aciton because we are more smart, tough and probing than we were 20 years ago, technology in all forms has given us additional ammunition and we have learned and adopted the way of the Warrior, valuing their bravery, skill and grace.  We are Post-modern Warriors armoured in Richard Tyler, Calvin Klein, Anna Sui, Daryl K. and Gucci. I am reminded of the 1980's artist Robert Longo's
Men in the Cities series wherein the viewer is shown how the aggresive twists and psychological strains are the strategical moves urban warfare involves; a seductive invitation.
We have abandoned the pseudo-caring early 1990's for razor-sharp sentiments that slice to the core of reason and existence: Life. This attitude is most suitable for the approaching millennium; and more realistic to any who are true urban warriors.
A longtime colleague of mine remarked last week that it was enough to master one's college studies and excell in one's chosen career; but now, in this multi-cultural, multi-historical, multi-religious and strangely inclusive world, one's education is constantly expanding.
Many benefit from quick-fixes that temporarily injects them with intelligence: the radio, television and yes, the Internet; but what of hard-core solitaty formal study and practice?  It takes years of sincerity and discipline to hone and master anything worthwhile- a Sadist occupation yet the reward are precious and infinite...
We utilize not only the post-modern and constant changing technology of our generation but also realize that it cannot be fully expressive of one's intellectual character if he has not incorporated hard-core methods into his litany of actions.
Are there more individuals capable of undertaking this journey?
