Hard. Fast. Intense. The Core of She is not Compassionate. It is Violent.
Traveling closer to Her Center, I discovered that only in practice can She be experienced and honored, the Summer of 2000 will be remembered as the most potent and gratifying in my life;  I acquired more of that which I need.
   In Grace can excellence be achieved and Grace is obtained through a commitment to Discipline. Following Beauty, Symmetry and Logic permitted me to engage in an Intimacy with my Goddess that accelerated my maturity, a maturity consistent with the cycle of Life. Life is brutal and destructive, in the words of the Marquis de Sade: "Does not the most fleeting glance upon natural operations prove that destructions are just as necessary to Her plans as creations? That the one and the other of these functions are interconnected and enmeshed so intimately that for either to operate without the other becomes impossible?" In this acknowledgement is the Freethinker able to progress.
   The Marquis gave the Western World a Sadean Philosophy, one that employs  Sophistication and Savagery which, in practice, releases Nature's boundless and ultimate Force on a restricted and "all-mighty" controlled world; practicing this upsets the foundation on which the West was built: Patriarchy.    Attitudes differ from place to place, region to region; although we are living in the 21st century, many in Alabama behave as if this is still pre-1960s southern society and noone is educated beyond a pre-1960s elementary curriculum. Yet, it seems when national attention is courted, it is that same group who hoards the attention and money, enjoy post-modern conveniences and provide their cliques with comfort and employment, (nepotism and favoritism are epidemic in Alabama.) And when an Independent walks into this atmosphere, a kind of discrimination takes place.
