Sparkle’s Academic and Cultural Spring Break Tour March 14th – 22nd 2008

Taking the 'First Step in any endeavor is always a very integral part of 'the plan', we salute you for taking it, by taking the time to read this request for your tax deductible contribution that will offset the cost to help sponsor 25 students on a trip to Disney world, Universal Studio Orland and the Kennedy Space Center for an eight day and seven night academic & cultural performance tour scheduled for March 14th-22nd, 2008.

Season 2007, Sparkle Dance Company toured New Orleans, La. and performed at The Hall of Flags at Dallas City Hall for Dr. Maxine Thornton-Reese, Councilor District 4 and a performance for the seniors at the JW Peavey Center in Houston, Texas where District B Councilor Jarvis Johnson and Mayor Bill White presented Company dancers proclamations for an outstanding performance. That Tour was an unforgettable experience.

We need your help to make this dream come true for these 25 young people who have work so hard for this opportunity. Please be aware that Sparkle is a non-profit organization, which means that your sponsorship is tax deductible. Our 501(c)(3) information is available upon request. With your monetary support you are making an investment back into the community and giving a positive statement that you care about what happens to the future of our youth.

Sparkle's performance base programs utilize motivational techniques as well as hands-on learning experiences for the students. All of our students can attest to what happens if someone gives them the opportunity to do something positive. They exceed expectations because someone cares and places a positive value on what they can take pride in.

Thank you, for taking the time and the First Step toward cultivating positive self esteem in our youth and recognizing the need for public support of the Arts and Computer Literacy in our communities.

Following you will find detailed information on sponsorship opportunities. Sparkle can specialize funding request to meet your unique marketing needs.

Sparkle is a non-profit organization requesting your support in our effort to take 25 youth from single parent homes and low-income families on our annual week long academic, cultural and performing arts tour to Orlando, Florida. The most rewarding thing about this trip is that these youth will be performing for the world at the Kennedy Space Center, Universal Studios and Disney World. They will also be exposed to other cultures, visit city governments, museums and many historical sites. The trip will cost $775 per student; this will cover transportation, hotel, events, activities and entertainment fees. Through fund-raisers and donations we have raised nearly $6,000.00 leaving us short $13,375.00 and we need your financial help to make this journey come true for all 25 youth.

The mission of Sparkle is to be a community base, positive imaging program where we can offer youth a diverse and unique educational enhancement experience combining the performing arts, cultural arts, academic and computer literacy components as doorways to the student's creative attributes. In this program, we use the stage and the screen (computer screen) to teach history and values, while occupying the students’ time with positive activities.

The goal of Sparkle is to assist students in developing skills needed to become, self reliant, independent thinkers, problem solvers, to respect themselves and others and to believe that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

Your assistance in our effort to be a shining star for the youth of our communities is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincere Appreciation,

Frank McCaslin
